Movie Trailer Critique

Well my project was working on a movie that 3rd graders could under stand. Before making the movie we also had to do a few different things. one of those things was doing my blog post. Another thing that I had to do is make a movie poster for my blog. I felt that was fun because it was my first time ever making any type of poster on photoshop. My team mates in this were Leslie, Lillio and Ehu. Are trailer plan was about a high school boy named Ziggy Twisty. We show all the troubles that Ziggy faces in high school. Well in the story I was Acting as Ziggy, so I feel that is one of the main things that I contributed to. But besides that I also got to edit our project witch was really fun. 

In the project we had many requirements. We had some in photoshop. We had some that were made for our movie. As I remember I completed all of them in photoshop. But I did not complete all the requirements in my movie. I remember that we came a little short on our time. But I think that it was mainly because we did not get to film as long as we wanted to. So I think that is one of the main reasons that I  did not finish this project in the right amount of time. One of the ways we could of avoided this would of been to start earlier. So then it would not of been last minute and we found out that we need longer scenes. Also as we were filming it turned out that we all didn't need to be there for the scenes. So as some people were filming another person could have been editing.

I was happy with our critique. I felt that we did good in my opinion, and yes I did agree with the results. I also learned that I need to not procrastinate as much as I did. One way that I could of avoided this was to stay after school with my team. Also I could of done what I said earlier and had one person edit while the rest of the people were editing. But over all I am proud of how I did and hope I got a good grade.

Proactive or Procrastination?

Be honest, are you proactive or procrastinator? Why or why not? I think that I am more of a procrastinator. I feel like this Because I am always waiting tell last minute to do my work. I think this happens because I always want to do something else instead. I mean I know the concept, but I just lay off on it. To be honest I am being  procrastinator right now.  I could of probably already finished this. Which of me being a procrastinator I have to rush and finish it now.

How does your level of productivity effect your amount of free time. Well, like everyone else, if I lay something off I will still have to do it. If you do lay it off you may get to do what you wanted to do that day. But when it is time for your project to be done you will have to rush and not get to do what you want to do that day. This may sound hypocritical of me to say this considering I procrastinating on this project. Hopefully one dat I will be able to not be a procrastinator.

What would you change about your work habits and how would you do it. If I could change anything I would change how I forget about projects. When i could clearly just handle them right away. If i did that then I would not have to worry about when I am going to get my projects done. For an example today I totally forgot about doing this.

Back To School

What is your favorite moment and biggest challenge? My favorite moment to so far is meeting a lot of new people. I really like how I have been here for so short and already know so many cool people. There is also so many people that know so many of my friends that I was surprised I have not meet them until now. One of my biggest challenges so far is learning all the new technology programs.

What will I do to have a successful year? For starters, I have a tutor for this whole year. I will get all my work done in time. Last year, I had a hard time, but this year will be better. I will also strive to get all A's. I will study for every test 3 times a day.

Lessons Learned

• think my groups project is very interesting. Our project tells about how technology has effected our community. In our story we include other people's opinions so their would not be bias. I feel that the viewer will stay interested in the subject and it will help them see how technology has changed things,  because they will hear so many opinions from the people we interviewed. One of the most interesting things to me was that my team had no fear calling people they did not know and ask for an interview.  This is something I hope to get good at as well.

One of our biggest roadblocks was probably the interviews. I remember one of are interviews canceled and we had to find a new interview. Another roadblock is when we were going to take b-roll and all the cameras were filled out. This made us have to hold back our videoing to another day. Those where probably a few of our main problems.

One of the  major things I find valuable in the film making process is getting to know how to you use all the technology. Im still learning how to take clear and good interviews. I think a lot of these projects are new to me, but I am learning a lot from my group. Another thing that is hard its fitting it all in 3 minutes. I hope you like my blog post thanks for reading.
